Take the lovely and graceful moves you learned in the Fitness and Technique class and put them into a dynamic choreography. Move through flowing isolations, exciting floor patterns, shimmies, and tempo changes.

For those who are looking for a bit of extension, there are optional performance opportunities.

Fitness and technique

This class is great for students new to bellydance and those who want to refresh skills or practice the basics. Explore Middle Eastern dance by developing a strong foundation in posture, isolation techniques, muscle control, choreographic sequences, and musicality. In addition, you will learn terminology and the history of Middle Eastern and Bellydance.

Children

Children

Though these classes are designed for adults, mothers and daughters are welcome to attend together. Girls over the age of 8 will benefit from a sense of confidence, grace and positive body image.

Before enrolling, please consider the ability of your child to participate in a structured 1-hour class.

Children under the age of 14 may attend for half price.

What to wear

What to wear

Anything goes really, but it is important that you are comfortable and can move freely.

A t-shirt or singlet would be perfect teamed with tights, wide skirt, gym or harem pants. Feet should be bare or you can wear soft dance slippers or pumps (no socks please).

It is important to wear a scarf or coin belt around your hips. This helps accentuate the movement.
